Which method of window cleaning is right for my windows?
Our waterfed poles and brushes are designed to be used on all types of glass and are soft enough to be used on old glass as well as new. It’s rare that we clean external windows using ‘traditional window cleaning’. We are happy to quote for either option depending on your personal preferences and we’ll always use the right method for your windows.
How often should I have my windows cleaned?
This depends on your individual requirements. We’re always happy to offer advice on the frequency of the clean for your property. We take into account your location, window type, budget and requirements. Typically residential customers opt for a monthly or fortnightly clean.
How much will my window cleaning cost?
To ensure every customer receives value for money we provide an individual quotation for every property. As each building is different with varying window sizes we price each job by carrying out a visit to a potential customer’s home. This allows us to assess access to the property, the size and type of the windows and discuss any specific requirements, such as conservatory or VELUX window cleans. The quotation is tailored to your property meaning you’ll pay a fair and accurate price for your window cleaning.
Can you clean the insides of my windows?
Definitely. As well as the waterfed poles we mainly use to clean the exterior glass, all of our team are experienced in traditional window cleaning methods used for internal glass.
I have a 3 / 4 storey house – can you still clean my windows?
Our waterfed poles can clean up to 65ft / 20 metres from the ground and can easily reach 5 storey windows.
Do you clean conservatories?
Yes, but not just conservatories, we can clean any type of glass, stained glass windows, swimming pool roofs, greenhouses, shed windows, outbuildings etc. Tell us when you book in a clean if you have any unusual buildings and we’ll be happy to provide a price for a clean.
Do I need to be at home when you clean the windows?
We can clean all external windows without you being home – as long as any access gates are unlocked. For internal cleans, we will need access, but we can book in a specified time and date so there’s no need to wait in all day.
It’s raining; will you still clean my windows?
Our waterfed pole system of window cleaning means we can clean windows in almost any weather. There are however a few occasions when we can’t clean due to health and safety reasons. For example, high winds would mean any high-level window cleaning (above 2 storeys) could be unsafe. Icy conditions and lightning are also hazardous. Luckily the UK weather means these situations are rare. In most cases, we will simply wait for the inclement conditions to pass and carry on. If for any reason your clean needs to be rescheduled we will contact you to rebook a suitable time.
Can I book my window clean for a specific time?
Of course! We understand how frustrating it can be to wait at home not knowing when to expect a window cleaner or delivery for example. Just let us know if you’d like a time when you arrange your window clean. We will usually give you a time frame. For example between 2-3pm. This accounts for us being caught in traffic or perhaps held up on another job. In the unlikely event, We delayed further we will call to let you know.
Will I need to supply any water for the window cleaning?
No, We are self-sufficient and carry all the water we need for the day.
My windows have been left wet – is this right?
The water we use is purified so any drops left on the windows will dry without leaving a residue.
I’m reaching the end of my tenancy, can you do a one-off clean?
We’re always happy to book in cleans of any frequency, whether that’s a one-off clean or a regular booking.
What is Pure Water?
Our window cleaning service uses 100% pure water to clean your windows, as this is scientifically proven to be the best method of window cleaning.
Have you ever hosed down a window on a sunny day, only to find that once dry, your windows were now covered in white spots and smears? Why was that?
The reason is that Tap Water contains many impurities such as calcium, phosphates, nitrates, sodium, potassium and chloride. It is these impurities that remain on your windows, leaving unsightly marks.
Explaining it simply, pure water is always trying to return to its natural impure state. Pure water wants to be dirty again! When applied to your windows, it attracts dirt like a magnet.
To produce Pure Water we take tap water and filter it extensively until all of the impurities that leave those unsightly spots and smears on your windows have been removed, leaving de-ionised (100% ultra-pure) water. This is achieved with our specialised water purifying equipment.
Pure water is excellent at breaking down and dissolving dirt, leaving no residue of chemicals or detergent on the glass as no chemicals, or detergents are used with our pure water window cleaning system. Traditional window cleaning methods, however, do involve the use of detergents and so always leave a sticky residue on the glass that actually attracts dirt! The result is that your windows get dirtier quicker! Ironic isn’t it?
As pure water leaves nothing but pure water on the glass, your windows stay cleaner for longer as there is nothing to attract the dirt back to the window and nothing for dirt to stick to so easily. What is more; Pure-water, due to the absence of tap water impurities, dries naturally to a sparkling clean finish. No spots. No smears. No marks.
A further benefit of pure window cleaning over traditional window cleaning is that traditional window cleaners can only generally clean the glass, or else charge extra for the frames to be cleaned. With our pure water window cleaning system, we clean your frames and sills as standard, for free! Why is this so important? Because if your frames are not cleaned, when it rains all the dirt from the frames will flow onto your clean windows! The result? Your windows were cleaned yesterday but they are dirty today!
The pure water is transported to your property. To apply pure water to your windows we use an extendable reach and wash water-fed pole with a soft bristle cleaning brush on the end. Pure water is then pumped up the pole and out through pencil jets in the brush head.
The Pure water with its powerful cleaning properties rapidly softens even stubborn dirt on the window, the soft brush is used to agitate the softened dirt and the flow of pure water carries the dirt with it to the ground.
The windows are left wet, but with no impurities in the remaining drops of pure water, remarkably they dry to a sparkling, smear free finish every time.
